Azad Gopalakrishnan, a Software Engineer by profession, is currently one of the Directors of El-Sapiens Pvt Ltd, a Bengalure & Kochi based Software Company in India. Maithree website is created and maintained by Azad.

Having received formal training in Carnatic Music from the age of 8, Azad is blessed to have Smt Kalamandalam Sudha, Smt Lalitha, Sri Thrissur M Ramakrishnan and Sri Sreenivasan Gopalakrishnan as his music Gurus. He has also learnt Mridangam under Kalamandalam Biju Gangadharan and Thiruvananthapuram G Sundareswaran. He has also learnt and performed Ottan Thullal in various stages across Thrissur Dist. during his school days.

Azad has participated and won prizes for Light Music, Carnatic Music, Mappila Paattu and Mridangam in School and College Art Festivals.

Azad is a Govt. of India certified Yoga trainer, Lifetime member of Indian Yoga Association and a trainer for various courses of the Art of Living organisation. He has taken various personality development trainings, yoga sessions, meditation classes for participants of all age groups and categories across India.

He is also a part of the Guruvaibhavam series organized by Maithree, Nurani and have been a part of the musical choir since 2022.
